Purpose

Cable glands are intended for glanding and fixing flexible armored and unarmored cables with rubber and plastic insulation with A round section when laying into stationary, mobile or portable electrical equipment.

Cable glands with ExeIU/ExeIIU and ExeIIU explosion protection marking according to GOST 30852 are Ех-components and are intended for use in explosion protected electrical equipment of groups and II with explosion protection level – “increased reliability against explosion” according to GOST 30852.

Cable glands with ExdIU/ExdIIСU and ExdIICU explosion protection marking according to GOST 30852 are Ех-components and are intended for use in explosion protected electrical equipment of groups I and II with explosion protection type – “explosionproof enclosure (d)” according to GOST 30852.

Features

  • Pipe cable glands are made with female pipe thread, can be delivered with male pipe thread at outlet by special order.
  • There is a wide range of entered cable for both armored and unarmored cable.

Design

Cable glands for unarmored cable consist of a fitting installed in equipment, a seal ring, which ensures cable glanding, a cap nut, which puts pressure on the seal ring through a reducing bushing. Two strips with screws are installed on the cap nut of the cable glands with index 1 and 2 for additional cable fixing preventing pulling out.

In addition to the aforementioned for armored cable, the glands have rings and bushings with a taper surface, between which cable armor is fixed.

In cable glands intended for connection of pipe or coupling of MMRn type at the cap nut end, there is an entry with the appropriate thread.

Cable glands with index 1BM and 2BM have an additional seal ring to ensure IP with an additional cap nut.
