Explosion-proof control stations and rotary switches (of PVK and ExGN types respectively) are push-button and rotary cam devices for remote control of electric drives of equipment and machinery, actuated manually and preventing ignition of the explosive environment.

Scope of application is explosion hazardous areas:
  • at enterprises of chemical, oil and gas and other industries;
  • on sea vessels;
  • in quarries, coal and shale mines.

Design

Stations and switches include:
  • a body made of plastic, aluminum or zinc alloy, structural or stainless steel;
  • removable cover;
  • cylindrical or mushroom shaped buttons with contact blocks (KN-BKV), rotary switch (ExGN), piezo buttons (in stations PVK-PK);
  • LED indicators;
  • control instrumentation (ammeter or voltmeter);
  • cable glands.

Advantages

PVK and ExGN:
  • have a high level of ingress protection (min. IP54 for KU-90, IP66 for other stations);
  • depending on version, remain functional under low (down to -60 ˚С) and high temperatures (up to +50 ˚С);
