Explosion-proof enclosures (VO) are intended for arrangement of electrical equipment and its elements, as well as protection of maintenance personnel from contact with electrical parts integrated into enclosures of electrical equipment elements and protection of said parts from the environment and mechanical impacts.

Application: explosion hazardous areas according to the Electric Installation Code (EIC), chapter 7.3 “Electric Installations within Explosion Hazardous Areas” and other regulatory documents determining applicability of electrical equipment within explosion hazardous areas.

Structural features

Depending on the type and design, VO can be made of:

  • structural or stainless steel;
  • aluminum alloy;
  • zinc alloy;
  • plastic.

A mounting plate is installed inside the enclosure (except for OEA-VELAN-SEALING BOX, OEA-VELAN-SEALING SPHERE, OEAV1; 2; 3.X).
Several types of enclosures can be additionally equipped with heating.
OEA-VELAN-SEALING BOX and OEA-VELAN-SEALING SPHERE are made with a protective light-transmission element.
Several types of enclosures can be additionally equipped with a window.
