Explosion-proof enclosures (VO) are intended for arrangement of electrical equipment and its elements, as well as protection of maintenance personnel from contact with electrical parts integrated into enclosures of electrical equipment elements and protection of said parts from the environment and mechanical impacts.
Application: explosion hazardous areas according to the Electric Installation Code (EIC), chapter 7.3 “Electric Installations within Explosion Hazardous Areas” and other regulatory documents determining applicability of electrical equipment within explosion hazardous areas.
Depending on the type and design, VO can be made of:
Have a high ingress protection level (IP66).
Designed for operation in a wide range of ambient temperatures (from −60 to +50 °C).
Have a large number of standard sizes.
