Explosion-proof switches are devices intended for remote control of the electric drives operation.

Scope of application is explosion hazardous areas:
  • on stationary units of chemical, oil and gas and other industries enterprises, including for controlling the pipeline valves (VK);
  • on transport, including underground and air transport.

Design

  • The key switch KVV consists of a body, a cover, a key with spring cams and a contact block with two spring-loaded cross members.
  • Explosion-proof enclosure (made of aluminum alloy) of the position switch VPV-1A consists of a body and a cover. A contact block is installed inside the body. An actuating unit is made as a pusher or with a lever fixed on the holder.
  • Explosion-proof enclosure (made of aluminum alloy) of the position switch VPV-4B(4M) consists of a body and a cover. Two contact blocks with an actuating unit consisting of a shaft-mounted swiveling lever with a roller, a rope, a pedal or a slot are installed inside the body. Two cams, which impact driving elements of contact blocks using braces with rollers, are located on the shaft.
  • The VKV-2 type switch consists of a body, a gear, a microswitches block, a cover, input devices, internal and external grounding devices, a position indicator with “Open” (O) and “Closed” (C) positions. Design of the switch VKV-1 is different from VKV-2, as instead of one of the covers, a terminal box consisting of a body, a cover, terminal blocks and two input devices is installed.
